Float Therapy

What is

Float Therapy?

Short-term Sensory Deprivation.

As you may have gathered by the name, it involves floating in a pod that is designed for short-term sensory deprivation. This is typically done within a large tank of super-saturated magnesium water that makes you buoyant.

Float tanks are also called Isolation tanks or Sensory Deprivation Tanks. They have recently gained popularity with athletes or those with stress, depression or other health related issues.

On a practical level, floating is typically done for 45-90 minutes or more in body-temperature salt water in a pod/room devoid of light and sound. You are not locked in and are able to open the tank at anytime.

Bliss Beauty + Float is one of the only float spas in Australia who provide their clients with the option of two different styles of float tank. We provide an open tank which provides the floater with a full view of the room at all times, our second tank option and most popular, provides the floater with the option of complete REST Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy. The floater is submerged in tank which looks like a pod. The door can be completely closed or left open.

We allow you to navigate your float experience; leave the lights on or music playing or feel the full effects of sensory deprivation lying in stillness.
